Quantum Dots Fiber Laser with Azimuthally Polarized Radial Emission

Abstract

We demonstrate a cylindrically symmetric radial laser emission from a CdSe/CdS/ZnS quantum dots doped hexane plug in an omnidirectional photonic-bandgap fiber cavity. The lasing threshold, polarization dependence and quality factor of lasing mode are characterized.
