Abstract

The frequency and intensity noise of a Yb-doped single-frequency distributed Bragg reflector fiber laser are effectively reduced by a simple, passive-feedback, optical loop, which consists of only two optical couplers. The linewidth is compressed from 3.96 kHz to 540 Hz.
