Long-duration, picosecond optical pulse shaping on SOI using discrete space-to-time mapping

Abstract

On-chip optical pulse shaping with durations in the order of tens of picoseconds is very challenging. We experimentally synthesize 70-ps high-quality flat-top pulses using concatenated-couplers in SOI technology platform.
