GaN-Based Photonic-Crystal Thermal Emitters Operating in the Middle-Wavelength Infrared Range

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate a narrowband (Q>90) thermal emitter with a peak wavelength of ~ 4 µm operating at 600°C by employing a photonic crystal structure containing n-doped GaN/AlGaN quantum wells.
