Advanced Laser Processing of Glass

Abstract

Laser processing of glass has made significant progresses in recent years due to an increasing demand from consumer electronics industry. A diverse of capabilities ranging from glass separation to surface modification have been developed. These techniques have demonstrated a variety of applications from flexible displays to ultrathin devices. The presentation will review several advanced laser processing techniques, including glass cutting and surface modification. It will also discuss attributes of each process and how to characterize them.
