Abstract

Nanosecond pulses at 8 μm wavelength with 45 mJ energy and a beam quality of M2 = 3.1 are generated using a ZnGeP2-based master oscillator/power amplifier, pumped by a cryogenic Q-switched Ho:YLF laser.
