Abstract

Nonlinear and ultrafast photonics of chemically processed black phosphorus quantum dots (BPQDs) are investigated, and BPQDs exhibit optical saturable absorption for generation of either single-state or bound-state soliton, which suggests potential applications for ultrashort photonics.
