Abstract

We demonstrate >60% efficient autoresonant three-wave-mixing in non-uniform bulk optical crystals by introducing temperature gradient phase-matching. This novel approach enabled generation of high-energy pulses with >50% conversion efficiency over a ~150 nm bandwidth.
