Cavity ring-up spectroscopy for sensing in a whispering gallery mode resonator

Abstract

We investigate cavity ring-up spectroscopy as a technique to perform distinctive dispersive and dissipative transient sensing in a silica whispering gallery mode resonator coupled to a tapered optical fiber. Experiments support the theoretical model.
