Superradiance in a Two-Dimensional Gas

Abstract

We examine the superradiant emission rate when the electromagnetic field is confined to the plane. We find density-dependent power-law scaling of the superradiant emission rate, with powers ranging from 0-~1/2 dependent on atom density.
