Small core SiGe alloy optical fibers by templated deposition

Abstract

Small core Si-Ge alloy optical fibers have been fabricated by templated deposition inside silica capillaries using high-pressure chemical vapor deposition. These fibers can have a wide variety of applications in optics and optoelectronics.
