Design of a Band-selective Silicon Photonic Fourier Transform Spectrometer using Slow Light

Abstract

A silicon-photonic Fourier Transform Spectrometer is designed based on coupled-microring resonators forming a slow-light waveguide, which scans the propagation delay electrically. The simulated device is compact, fast and achieves high spectral resolution in targeted bands.
