Silicon Photonic Polarization Insensitive Filter with Low Polarization Dependent Extinction Radio

Abstract

We proposed and experimentally demonstrated a novel polarization-insensitive bandstop filter with a low polarization dependent extinction radio (<1dB) and low polarization dependent loss (<1.5dB) on a SOI chip. The insertion loss is about 2.6 dB.
