Improving Photoluminescence Collection from Nitrogen Vacancy Ensembles in Diamond via Surface Texturing

Abstract

We demonstrate a 60% increase in collected photoluminescence from nitrogen-vacancy ensembles in single-crystal diamond by surface texturing. Enhancements of up to a factor of 23 are predicted for optimized texturing and collection.
