Gigahertz tuning of on-chip RF photonic delay line

Abstract

We demonstrate a technique that enables three-fold enhancement of time delay and seamless delay switching for RF signals at gigahertz speed from optical ring resonators on an integrated Si3N4 chip, solely by optical power control.
