Silicon microring weight banks for multivariate RF photonics

Abstract

Microring weight banks enable novel analog processing approaches in silicon photonics. Incorporating statistical techniques, they can implement wideband dimensionality reduction. We demonstrate principal component analysis of three 1GHz signals in a microring weight bank.
