Multimodal Multiplexing of Single-Virus Detection Using Multi-Mode Interference Waveguides

Abstract

Multi-mode interference waveguides are used to implement simultaneous spectral and spatial multiplex fluorescence analysis in liquid-core waveguide channels. A six-times multiplex identification of single influenza viruses is demonstrated with two excitation colors and three channels.
