Femtosecond Beam Combination Using Diffractive Optic Pairs

Abstract

A new, scalable method of ultrashort pulse, coherent beam combination is modeled numerically and demonstrated experimentally. 110fs, 1040nm pulses in a 1×4 array are combined using two diffractive optics, preserving pulse duration and spectral width.
