Mode-locked Er-doped Fiber Laser by Pump Modulation beyond Emission Lifetime Limit

Abstract

Mode-locked EDF laser using active mode-locking via pump modulation (AMPM) is demonstrated. The repetition rate is 99.250 kHz, which is beyond the emission lifetime limit of Er ion.
