Broadband Continuous Tuning of a THz Quantum-Cascade VECSEL

Abstract

We report tuning of a terahertz quantum-cascade vertical-external-cavity surface-emitting-laser (VECSEL) using piezoelectric actuators and an intra-cryostat cavity. Continuous tuning over 260 GHz at a center frequency of approximately 3.3 THz is demonstrated
