Broadband Third-Harmonic Generation in Black Phosphorus

Abstract

We measure third-harmonic generation in mechanically exfoliated black phosphorus flakes using a tunable ultrafast infrared laser. Visible microscopy of the optically pumped flake shows third-harmonic generation in transmission that is localized to the black phosphorus flake.
