Engineered quasi-phase matching for conversion efficiency optimization of coupled χ(2) processes

Abstract

We propose an algorithm to optimize the efficiency of coupled χ(2) processes in an aperiodic optical superlattice, achieving record high efficiency of frequency tripling. Feasibility is confirmed by controlled experiment with three different design methods.
