Hybrid mode-locked erbium-doped fiber laser with black phosphorus saturable absorber

We demonstrate a self-starting erbium-doped fiber laser mode-locked by the hybrid mode-locking mechanism consisting of a nonlinear amplifying loop mirror and a black phosphorus saturable absorber, producing 100 fs pulses at 45.9 MHz repetition rate.
