Design, Fabrication and Demonstration of a Chip-Scale Reconfigurable Photonic Signal Processor

Abstract

Inspired by electronic Field Programmable Gate Arrays, we experimentally demonstrate a reconfigurable hexagonal mesh processor based on silicon platform. Assisted by tunable Mach–Zehnder couplers, numerous topologies and functions can be implemented with favorable performances.
