Abstract

We demonstrate multiple-plate compression of femtosecond pulses in the mid-infrared region. Using YAG and two Si plates, 1.80-optical-cycle, CEP-stable, intense pulses (21.0 fs, 45 µJ, 3.5 µm) has been obtained with octave-spanning spectrum.
