Extraordinary Optical Reflection and Giant Goos-Hänchen Effect from a Periodic Array of Thin Metal Plates

Abstract

We theoretically and experimentally study the optical properties of a periodic array of thin metal plates at THz frequencies. Narrow extraordinary optical reflection resonances and a giant Goos-Hänchen effect are observed in the structure.
