A Deuterium-Passivated Amorphous Silicon Platform for Stable Integrated Nonlinear Optics

Abstract

We report a method to create amorphous silicon waveguides passivated with deuterium and demonstrate stability under moderate continuous-wave power. The waveguides have nonlinear properties comparable to hydrogenated amorphous silicon.
