Abstract

We demonstrated femtosecond laser pulse generation from a self-similar amplifier with picosecond laser which delivers ~8-ps pulses with ~0.9-nm bandwidth. The system outputs 87-fs pulses at 30-MHz repetition rate with 4.5-W average power.
