Abstract

The orientation-patterned compound semiconductors - OP-GaAs and OP-GaP - exhibit the highest nonlinear coefficients and broadest infrared transparency ranges among all quasi-phasematched crystals. Processing and device performance are improving, and next-generation materials show great promise.
