Directional Curvature Sensing Using Multicore Fiber Bragg Grating and Two-Photon Absorption Process in Si-APD

Abstract

We demonstrate a directional curvature sensor using a multicore fiber Bragg grating (FBG). The FBGs having almost the same Bragg wavelengths are discriminated by the distance measurement technique using two-photon absorption process in a Si-APD.
