Quarter Watt 2-octave Wide Mid-IR Frequency Comb from a Subharmonic OPO Based on OP-GaP Crystal

Abstract

We used a dispersionless-cavity subharmonic OPO pumped by femtosecond 2.35-pm pulses to demonstrate a coherent output spanning 3-12pm with up to 245-mW power. We also compare the performance of the OP-GaP vs OP-GaAs crystal.
