2 GHz Regeneratively Mode-locked Laser at 2 Micron

Abstract

We have for the first time demonstrated a 2 GHz regeneratively mode-locked 2 gm fiber laser with PLL operation, which shows long-term stability. Such a source is well suited for soliton communications and signal processing.
