Filamentation-free Self-compression of LWIR Pulses in a CO2 Gas-filled Multi-pass Cell: A Numerical Study

Abstract

Pulse self-compression is demonstrated numerically for 10.3 µm pulses in a gas-filled multi-pass cell. The cell is filled with the 13CO2 isotope, which exhibits a shifted absorption spectrum from the 12CO2 laser gain medium.
