Demonstration of Single-Photon Synapses

Abstract

We present a single-photon-sensitive synapse realized by the monolithic integration of superconducting-nanowire single-photon detectors with Josephson electronics. Data show the utility of the synapse for achieving synaptic weighting and integration of pulse trains.
