Fiber-based Wavelength-tunable Passively Q-switched Laser at 2.7 μm

Abstract

We present a 2.7-µm passively Q-switched Er-ZBLAN fiber laser. By introducing an intracavity Lyot birefringence fiber filter utilizing both polarization-maintaining and non-polarization-maintaining silica fiber, the laser achieved the central wavelength tunability of 2702-2772 nm.
