Unbiased Quantum Random-Number Generation by Use of Photon-Number-Resolving Detection up to 30 Photons

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate an unbiased all-optical random number gen-erator using coherent light and photon-number-resolved detection of up to 30 photons. Our method requires no de-biasing algorithms and is robust to environmental noise and laser fluctuations.
