Suppression of Timing-Jitter in a Collinear LiNbO3 Optical-to-Terahertz Converter

Abstract

We report passive compensation of terahertz timing-jitter via collinear combination of the two-sided Cherenkov radiation emitted in a LiNbO3 slab. The timing drift per beam displacement is reduced 70-fold compared to non-collinear geometries.
