Attachable 1D Photonic Crystal Laser Thin-Film for Strain Sensing

Abstract

We demonstrate a photonic crystal laser embedded in a polymeric thin film, which can attach to the object's surface and show significant wavelength responses in bending, pressing, and gas pressure sensing via nanoclamps with strain-shaping.
