Non-Hermitian Engineered Low Power Thermo-Optic Silicon Phase Shifter

Abstract

We present a fast response, energy-efficient thermo-optic silicon phase shifter based on Non-Hermitian engineering. A 500 kHz bandwidth and a 1.72 mW -phase-shift (Pπ) power consumption are demonstrated at 1550 nm wavelength.
