Hybrid Electro-Optic Crossbar Array for Matrix-Vector Multiplications

Abstract

Photonic processors exploiting in-memory computing and wavelength multiplexing excel in calculating matrix-vector multiplications but are limited to small vector dimensions. We present a hybrid electro-optic crossbar array design which virtually increases the processable vector size.
