Direct Iterative Photonic Integrated Matrix Inverter

Abstract

We demonstrate the first chip-based real-valued direct photonic matrix inverter using coherent sources. At a rate of 2×105 inversions/s, a 16×16 diagonal matrix and a 2×2 arbitrary matrix are inverted with 99.2% and 93.7% accuracy.
