Abstract

Sputtered oxide films show an exciting future with photonic integrated circuits due to their wide transparency range. We show propagation losses in niobium-tantalum oxide (NbTaOx) and tantalum pentoxide (Ta2O5) with visible wavelengths in fabricated waveguides.
