Long Wavelength Infrared Few-Cycle Pulse Generation Seeded by Self-Phase Modulation Enabled Spectral Selection in Single-Mode Fiber

Abstract

We demonstrate few-cycle optical parametric amplifier tunable from 7.8 - 9.9 μm, seeded by self-phase modulation enabled spectral selection in single-mode HI1060 fiber. The system produces idler energy of 5 nJ with M2 of 1.6.
