Abstract

Based on the dual-chirped optical parametric amplification scheme, a 61 mJ, over one-octave bandwidth, 10 Hz, carrier-to-envelope phase (CEP) stable laser pulses centered at 2.3 μm is achieved by employing BiB3O6 crystals and MgO:LiNbO3 crystals. After compression, the output pulse duration is down to 8.7 fs (1.1 cycles @ 2.3 μm), which results in a peak power of 7 TW.
