Monolithically-integrated femtosecond optical parametric oscillators

Abstract

We demonstrate synchronously-pumped femtosecond optical parametric oscillators in integrated photonics. These monolithic 10-GHz cavities operate stably without active locking and exhibit many operating regimes observed in free-space OPOs: nondegenerate operation, box-pulsing, and quadratic bright-dark solitons.
