Abstract

To measure the wind velocity with a cw-laser Doppler anemometer (LDA) in a defined volume, it is necessary to focus the cw-laser radiation (Köpp, 1982). The backscattered light from the range R comes from a volume of the length △L with where D is the diameter of the telescope (in our case 30 cm) and λ is the wavelength.
