Temporal simulation for space borne coherent Doppler lidar

Abstract

The purpose of the simulation model, LITSAT, is to assess the performance of a space coherent Doppler wind lidar for atmospheric sounding. It has been developed to help design instrumental concepts for the ALADIN pre-Phase A study.
