Abstract

Ground-based CO2 Doppler lidars, operating at low frequency laser stability may be created using wideband detection technique as in airborne systems [1,2]. Such approach is one of the effective ways to develop low cost coherent lidars for atmospheric remote technologies. A novel wideband Doppler detection method was developed and tested by us in [3, 4]. Here we describe our ground-based CO2 coherent lidar system for wind and backscattering measurements, based on this new method.
