Abstract

A new technique, Synthetic Array Heterodyne Detection, offers a wider field of view and improved signal to noise for coherent DIAL systems by reducing speckle interference. We have implemented a synthetic multi pixel array using a CO2 laser on a single element HgCdTe photodiode.
