First-Photon Imaging and Few-Photon Imaging

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

With appropriate algorithms, imaging with pulsed illumination and single-photon detection can be pushed to where each detected photon provides considerable information. This talk presents two related methods for acquiring reflectance and depth together from about 1 detected photon per pixel, even in the presence of significant background light.
